Wedding Venue is official: Weston Hills Country Club.

We have put the deposit on an amazing wedding venue. After looking around at about 7 different venues we went with Weston Hills country club since it was the best value for the price and their wedding coordinator was top notch. She didn’t just try to SELL us on the most expensive track but laid out all options and included her own professional opinion which was a honest one not a sales pitch.

Next: Church deposit

This year we will be planning and documenting our wedding plans we go. Hopefully to help up and coming couples.

Planning the wedding and looking at two potential dates in early 2013 as well as looking at many different color schemes. What is the proper color scheme for that time of the year and the couples taste. In describing color ideas words such as Clean, Light, Fresh, Airy, and Sweet come out. 

We have equally as many flower combinations and designs to look through. 

It’s been very exciting to visit the various wedding venues we have been looking at. Moving our sites from coral gables to a closer location. Visiting venues the catering/wedding rep is very important, the way they present themselves really seems to relate to the location. This past weekend we went to a few places and liked the Weston Hills Country Club out of all of them. The rep was very nice and we could see attention to detail. Next is picking the menu and getting a proposal.

We continue to search for a wedding venue in the area. Think we found the church and are very excited to find the venue. 

Working on a design for the isle runner now that the church has been picked.

I wanted to do something special for my girlfriend Diana. I have surprised her for birthdays and anniversaries, so I had to do something big for the proposal. I created a fake 3 min movie trailer and got my local theater to show it before “Bad Teacher.” Both our families showed up and Diana had no idea. As the Trailer started she realized what was happening with each second.

I walked up to her, got on my knee and asked her to marry me and got a YES! Thank you all for your support.
